Friday 8th March celebrates International Women’s Day
Working across the third sector as its TSI we see women working hard to make an impact in their communities. Today we would like to highlight just a few of our members that are both led by and support women. This is just a snapshot of the dedication to change and equality seen in Renfrewshire and if you’d like to find more groups that #InspireInclusion please search our member directory
Kairos Women+
Kairos Women+ is a community-led women’s space for all women and non-binary people across Renfrewshire and beyond. Based in Paisley, Kairos Women+ offer inclusive activities that support women to build community, champion their rights and explore their creativity and wellbeing.

Jubilee House
Jubilee House was established in 2015 to help women and children escape domestic abuse and the trauma it creates. Jubilee House has three key focuses: recovery for the women it supports, education for the wider community and mental wellbeing for women and children impacted by domestic abuse.

Sewing2gether All Nations
Sewing2gether All Nations is a grass roots community-based organisation providing creative upcycling workshops, life skill training and practical support to refugees and asylum seekers who wish to practise English and build new friendships. Their support extends to families and the wider community.

Twist & Hit
Twist & Hit Cheerleaders CIC offer competitive cheerleading classes for young people, ASN accessible cheerleading, Mum and Baby fitness classes and more, all from their accessible space on Clark Street in Paisley.

Renfrewshire Women's Aid (SCIO)
Renfrewshire Women’s Aid was established in 1985 and offers crisis intervention, emotional and practical support, advocacy and temporary refuge and scatter accommodation for women and children experiencing domestic abuse.

All of the above groups have been recipients of the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund over its three years. The fund’s associated network, the Renfrewshire Wellbeing Network will next meet on Tuesday 26th March at Paisley Town Hall and the theme of the meeting will be inclusion!
