03/11/2025 (Volunteer Post )

I started volunteering as a presenter for the multi award winning online radio station Paisley radio.com in March 2025, after seeing that they were looking for presenters.

I initially started hosting a weekly radio chat show called ‘Buddie Talk’.

For those of you who don’t know, if you’re from Paisley, you’re affectionately known as a ‘Paisley Buddie’.

Guests either come in to the studio in Paisley town centre or we record it over Zoom and they chat about what they are doing in the local and/or wider community while I ask them questions about it. Guests don’t have to have a specific link to the Paisley area. It’s a fantastic platform for people to really have their voice heard and to get their message out there as we have millions of listeners globally every month.

As ‘Buddie Talk’ was so successful and popular with guests wanting to come on to chat about what they are doing, I was offered another slot for a second radio chat show called ‘Buddie Talk Xtra’ which is the same idea as ‘Buddie Talk’ but airs on a different day of the week.

I love that I am able to help people spread the word about what they are doing and I’ve had a real variety of guests on so far, everything from authors, artists, magicians, ministers, musicians, yoga instructors, therapists, hairdressers, local charities, carers and I have lots more coming up!

I feel that it is a real boost and benefit to the local and wider community and it helps to connect people too.

I’m also involved in some other radio shows on paisleyradio.com. I co-host a show on Friday night called ‘Finally Friday’ along with Chris Lawler and Ian Hamilton and I’m going to be co-hosting a weekly Breakfast Show along with Aimee Hinds and Paul Wycherley, starting on Monday mornings at 8am in November.

For anyone who would like to listen to ‘Buddie Talk’ or ‘Buddie Talk Xtra’ you can tune in online on paisleyradio.com every Wednesday and Thursday between 3pm and 4pm.

You can follow paisleyradio.com on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok. We also have a website.

If anyone would like to follow me, you can follow me on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn.

If anyone would like to be part of any of our shows or volunteer as a presenter and have their own show, please get in touch with either myself or email team@paisleyradio.com or message us on any of our social media channels.
