Celebrating Volunteering
Engage Renfrewshire loves to celebrate and shine a spotlight on amazing volunteers all year round! But we go all out during two special weeks—Volunteers’ Week in June and Trustees’ Week in November—with exciting events, inspiring campaigns, and plenty of feel-good moments to say a huge THANK YOU to those making a difference!
We thoroughly enjoyed partnering with Renfrewshire Youth Voice #RYV last year, and sponsored the ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award at their annual event in November and are thoroughly looking forward to attending again this year. We were also delighted to present the Summit Award Winners 2024 on the night. The Summit Award is for individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to their local community. You can submit a Summit Award nomination here Summit Award nomination – Saltire Awards
Celebrating Youth Volunteering
At Engage Renfrewshire, we know that volunteering isn’t just about giving back—it’s also an amazing way for young people to boost their confidence, learn new skills, and make a real impact in their communities! Volunteering can support mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing, and we’re here to help young people find exciting opportunities to get involved.
Saltire Awards – Recognising our Young People
The Saltire Awards are Scotland’s national youth volunteering awards, celebrating the dedication and achievements of volunteers aged 12 to 25. Whether you’re just starting your volunteering journey or already making a big impact, you can earn nationally recognised certificates for your efforts!
As Renfrewshire’s local Saltire Awards awarding body, we’re passionate about showcasing the incredible contributions of young volunteers. We promote the awards through schools, youth groups, community organisations, and social media—helping as many young people as possible get the recognition they deserve!
Want to get involved? If you or your organisation support young volunteers, get in touch with us to find out how to celebrate their hard work and achievements through the Saltire Awards!
Renfrewshire Volunteer Fair
Every year, Engage Renfrewshire hosts our Annual Volunteering Fair, bringing together fantastic local organisations, charities, and community groups—all ready to showcase the incredible benefits of volunteering! Whether you're looking to gain new skills, make new friends, or give back to your community, this is the perfect opportunity to find a role that suits you. Meet inspiring organisations, explore a variety of volunteering opportunities, and discover how you can make a difference.
A huge thank you to our amazing partners and local groups for being part of this event and helping us celebrate the power of volunteering!
