What is Easy Read training? Easy Read is one of the best forms of accessible information and communication, allowing people with autism and learning disabilities to access your organisation’s information, resulting in a better understanding of its contents not only for disabled people but everybody.
On the training, we will provide expert advice on the layout of the document, and sentence structure. And with our expert guidance, you’ll gain the tools to create a more inclusive environment that drives success.
How can this help my business? The training will support people to enhance existing skills, coach new skills to create an accessible easy read documents and receive a CPD accredited certification. This will empower you and your staff or colleagues to amend existing policies and create new documents to allow staff, but more importantly allow people with a disability to access your information independently and allow them to make informed decisions. Our training will assist make your documents simpler to read
What’s the result like? If your documents/brochures, are in an easy-read format, you will be able to reach a wider audience, including more potential customers whoever they are. This will allow your organisation to explore ways on making reasonable adjustments and have an improved understanding of Autism and Learning Disabilities.
What do you need to bring? We ask people to bring in a Laptop and a policy or a leaflet to transcribe into an easy-read document with our 1-2-1 support
