SOOPIR Day
SOOPiR Day (Strengthening Opportunities for Older People in Renfrewshire) is a popular annual community event, which is jointly organised by Roar - Connections for Life, the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), and Renfrewshire Council, designed to tackle isolation among local seniors. It features traditional music, ceilidh dancing, afternoon tea, and local service stalls. There will be some Digital Support and Signposting available.
It is a ticketed event, which bring hundreds of older adults together for a day out while allowing them to connect with local charities, health groups, and community transport services.
There will be a digital aspect where there will be on-site support for using digital devices. There will also be 'Digi' packs being handed out with information about digital support at Roar Clubs.
