Improve your Zoom Skills
We have been given the opportunity to offer digital skills training funded by the Scottish Government’s Community Based Adult Learning.
Based on the feedback from local organisations we are offering free online Zoom training. Zoom Basics and Zoom Advanced.
This training is open to Volunteers, Sessional Staff and Adults living in Renfrewshire. For example a local community group leader may want to learn how to use zoom to offer online meetings or improve current skills?
There are limited spaces of 15 per session so if you are interested please note your interest by email to diane.webb@renfrewshire.gov.uk with how many people and which course(s). Bookings will be on a first come first served basis. The trainer will be Gary Ennis from NS Design. Gary is a fantastic and engaging trainer.

Zoom Basics 16th March 10am - 11.30am or 6pm to 7.30pm
Zoom Advanced 21st March 10am -11.30am or 6pm to 7.30pm
Course Description
Zoom Basics
This 90 minute, introductory online webinar (hosted as you might expect on Zoom!) aims to give you increased skills and confidence in running your own Zoom meetings and virtual events. Aimed at 'Zoom Beginners', the session includes:
* What is Zoom
* The different Plans and Pricing
* Setting up Meetings
* Security Settings and using the Waiting Room
* Taking advantage of all the features
Zoom Advanced
This 90 minute online webinar follows on from our "basics" course, and introduces existing Zoom users to more advanced features and presentation techniques to really deliver a best practice meeting or virtual event. The session includes:
* Recommended Hardware
* Best practice Lighting Tips
* Present like a Pro!
* Sharing Your Screen (and Mobile!)
* Getting Interactive
* Recording the Meeting
* Social Media Streaming
* Zoom Alternatives to consider
