Alice McBride

Community & Partnership Manager

I joined Engage Renfrewshire in November 2019 as Volunteer Development Officer but since January 2021 I have been tasked with overseeing the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund as Funding Officer.

The Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund is an exciting venture for Engage as we are manage the distribution of over £500,000 in to Renfrewshire’s charitable sector to support community mental health initiatives and projects. My role is to oversee the whole lifespan of the fund and the projects it supports. This includes:

Assisting applicants in submitting applications, liaising with our decision panel, and working with our finance team to ensure funds are distributed efficiently.

Promoting the work of projects once underway, encouraging partnership working and sharing of knowledge and insight throughout the network of funded organisations.

Planning the next phase of the fund, evaluating what we can learn from the projects funded, and, crucially, exploring how the sector can develop the work seen as a result of the fund.

Outside of work I enjoy visiting Scotland’s impressive castles, playing with my lurcher, and being by the sea.
