Welcome
Dear Renfrewshire Wellbeing Network,
I hope you are all well!
This week marks the start of Love Parks Week (24 July – 2 August), which is a chance to celebrate and enjoy our beautiful parks and green spaces here in Renfrewshire. Whether you're out for a walk, meeting a friend for a coffee, or just grabbing a few minutes of peace and quiet, our parks are brilliant places to unwind. We all know how much better we can feel after a bit of fresh air, and spending time outdoors is one of the simplest ways to boost our mood and look after our mental wellbeing.
We were delighted to attend the Afternoon Tea in the Park and unveiling of a new bench by the Renfrewshire Alcohol and Drugs Partnership in Barshaw Park earlier this month. It might seem like a small thing, but it’s a lovely reminder of how important it is to create spaces where people can stop for a chat, take a moment for themselves or simply enjoy their surroundings. Sometimes the little things like a friendly conversation, a quiet sit in the sunshine, or feeling connected to your community, can make a real difference.
