Autumn is now in full swing, which means
Trustees' Week will be here before we know it!
Celebrated between the 3rd and 7th November, Trustees’ Week is a time for us to come together to celebrate the achievements of nearly one million trustees across the UK.
It's also a week for community learning, for those interested in trusteeship to find out more.
Throughout Trustees’ Week you’ll have the chance to connect with other trustees to share your experiences or find out how to become a trustee. You’ll also be able to develop your skills through our wide range of events, training and guidance.

Supporting Young Volunteers Series with YGAM
Yesterday, 23rd September, we hosted the first of your Supporting Young Volunteers Series with YGAM - the UK's leading charity preventing gaming and gambling harms in young people.
It was an engaging, insightful session that explored the signs and harms of gambling and gaming, and offered practical tips and resources for support.
If you weren't able to join us - never fear! YGAM are offering online training options over the coming months, see info below.

The session is accredited, and after completion you also get access to YGAM's bank of award-winning resources that you can download and use with your children and young people in 1:1, small group work, or classroom-based activities.
Vaping Awareness Session
Book now for the next session in the series: a Vaping Awareness Session, led by our own Keely Wilkinson here at Engage.
On November 4th, join us for an interactive awareness session designed to support staff and volunteers who work with children and young people in addressing the growing issue of vaping among young people.
This training will:
- Provide up-to-date information on vaping trends and use among young people
- Increase knowledge and confidence to discuss the health and environmental impacts of vaping
- Share resources and signpost where to find further information and support

Become a Volunteer Tour Guide at Erskine Veterans Charity!
Are you passionate about honouring those who served? Do you enjoy engaging with people and sharing meaningful stories? Join our team at Erskine Veterans Charity as a Volunteer Tour Guide, and help us share the legacy of our Veterans.
As a Volunteer Tour Guide, you will:
- Welcome visitors and provide guided tours of our facilities, including historical insights and the inspiring stories behind our charity.
- Share the rich history of Erskine Veterans Charity and the incredible work we do to support veterans and their families.
- Help raise awareness about the challenges veterans face and the vital role Erskine plays in offering care and assistance.
No previous experience is required—just enthusiasm, a warm personality, and a desire to help others. Full training and support will be provided!

Organised by SCVO, the Gathering is the largest free voluntary sector event in the UK. It's an opportunity for all the amazing people working in and with the voluntary sector to network, showcase what they do, and learn from each other.
