New PVG Fee Waiver for Personal Assistants
From 1 August 2026, the Scottish Government has introduced a temporary PVG application fee waiver for eligible new social care workers, including many Personal Assistants employed through Self-directed Support.

Financial Support for Unpaid Carers
Unpaid carers in Scotland could be eligible for financial support from Social Security Scotland if they are:

• 16 or over
• provide regular unpaid care a week to one or more people who get disability benefits
• earn £196 per week or less on average after some deductions

Renfrewshire Carers Centre Wellbeing Taster Sessions - Sports massages available on the 14 August and a choice of head, neck & shoulder or acupressure on the 28 August. These 20 minute taster sessions are on every second Friday and held at the Paisley Central Library from 12-2pm.
