Congratulations to RenSEN member Shopmobility Renfrewshire on their high-profile collaboration with ScotRail!

The team at Shopmobility Renfrewshire were invited to take part in a short film highlighting Scotrail’s Mobility Scooter policy. Here’s the link to view the film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hi_QJmHrfNk. 
There are now plans to continue this work as Scotrail look to review accessibility on all 9 train types operating across Scotland.

Shopmobility Renfrewshire has a fleet of mobility scooters which meet Scotrail’s criteria for train travel, and are available for short-term or long-term hire.

Well done to ROAR Connections for Life for securing support through NHS Scotland’s Community Benefit Portal.  ROAR attended an information session on how to write a successful request for community benefits (which we promoted in a previous RenSEN e-bulletin) and within weeks of their submission, ROAR received the support they requested.  If you want to know how to write a successful community benefit request, then watch this video: NHS Community Benefit Portal 241029

Social Enterprise Funding and Investment Survey

This short, confidential survey is open to any social enterprise based in Scotland that accesses funding or investment from any source. It will take around 3 minutes to complete. 

In the current context of funding and financial challenges facing many Scottish social enterprises, The Scottish Parliament Social Enterprise CPG is seeking your views and experiences.  

Survey results will be shared with MSPs, government and other key policy partners but will not name any individual or organisation.

Created by Pioneers Post, in partnership with NatWest Social & Community Capital, the WISE100 is looking for exceptional women leaders of all kinds – from the rising stars of social enterprise and impact investment to CEOs with decades of experience behind them. They will be spotlighting the journeys of some of these exceptional women, exploring their challenges and achievements they have experienced and sharing them with you via the Pioneers Post website, the independent news platform for the global impact community.
 
In addition to the top 100 list, four awards will be announced at a special celebration event planned for 27th March 2025 in Glasgow.
