Engage Update - 26 January

Newsletter Updates

We're reviewing how we keep in touch with you!

Our newsletter distribution list currently goes to over 800 contacts from our membership and cross sector partners, and we have 6 different, topical newsletters that ping their way to various inboxes.

If you no longer wish to receive particular newsletters (RenSEN, Funding & Training, Volunteering, Employability, Renfrewshire Wellbeing Network) then keep an eye out for the individual unsubscribe links at the top of each edition.

You'll no longer receive that particular newsletter, but still be on the central mailing list and receive this Monday update.

Love it as it is? Then you don't need to do anything - if we don't hear from you, nothing will change!

Bear with us as we manage the lists, and if at any point you want to take up a newsletter again just email us at info@engagerenfrewshire.com

Billy McClean
Chief Officer, Renfrewshire Health & Social Care Partnership

I’m pleased to share my latest Vlog with you below.

In this week’s Vlog, I talk about:

  • My latest team visits, featuring visits to the teams within Pauline Robbie’s service areas.
  • Quality Improvement and a reminder to complete our staff QI survey.
  • My regular thanks to staff for their great work. This week I mention some feedback for the Care Home Nurse Support team.

If you have any feedback on this video or ideas for future topics, I’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch or email: HSCPcommunications@renfrewshire.gov.uk

I hope you enjoy this week’s update…

CLD Workforce Survey

Please follow the link to complete the survey: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/CLDWorkforceSurvey/

CLD is the field of professional practice in Scotland which includes youth work, community-based adult learning, family learning, and community development. CLD enables people of all ages to identify their own individual and collective goals, to engage in learning and take action to bring about change for themselves and their communities. It is a key element of the education sector in Scotland.

Many people and organisations will find it straightforward to identify themselves as being CLD practitioners or employers. We also know that there are many staff and volunteers working in CLD roles, and using CLD methods, who may not automatically identify themselves as a CLD practitioner. This could include people working in community development, adult or family learning (includes ESOL), youth work, community planning, health, employability or poverty.

The purpose of the survey is to capture workforce data, building on what we found in the last survey conducted in 2018.

The survey will be open for around 8 weeks closing at the end of February, please complete as soon as possible for your responses to be counted.

Peer Support in Scotland is a new Insight Report from Scottish Recovery Network. It makes the case for peer support as a core component of a recovery-focused, people-led mental health system. The first in a four-part series, it draws on evidence, lived experience, and national and international data to show why peer support matters, where we are now, and what action is needed to ensure it is not an optional add-on, but central to delivering Scotland’s vision for mental health recovery and wellbeing.
