Engage Update - 21 July

SMiSA are the majority owners of St Mirren Football Club. St Mirren are our club and it’s place at the heart of the local community is precious to us.

SMiSA have purchased 20 season tickets for the 2025/2026 campaign and  for home games will offer these out to charities and community groups in Renfrewshire and beyond. Our aim is to give as many people who for various reasons cannot get along to support St Mirren the chance.

This will be the seventh season we have ran this venture and so far we have allowed over 1400 Renfrewshire residents the opportunity to support the Buddies.

Renfrew Development Trust

The Development of a Community-led Renfrew Local Place Plan aims to empower the local community to shape Renfrew’s future through a shared vision for development, placemaking and land use.

The Renfrew LPP will reflect the Communities Priorities for Renfrew such as inclusive regeneration, active travel, green infrastructure, housing and climate resilience aligning to the National Planning Framework 4 and Renfrewshire Council's Local Development Plan.

Following this engagement session we will then proceed with the formalisation of a Working Group, this will be made up of Community Stakeholders and residents of Renfrew.

Launched in 2013 as part of the charity Paisley Heritage, we’ve grown from a local initiative into a leading voice in Paisley’s tourism and heritage sector. Our mission is to connect people with the town’s fascinating past through immersive tours, cultural events, and digital storytelling.

But we’re more than just a tour company. As a social enterprise, we’re committed to supporting local businesses, boosting tourism, and contributing to Paisley’s economic and cultural regeneration.

We work in partnership with VisitScotland, Renfrewshire Council, Glasgow Life, and local heritage sites to ensure Paisley’s stories are not only preserved - but brought to life for future generations.

Whether you're a visitor, a local resident, or an organisation looking to collaborate, Paisley Tours is your connection to the living history of our town.
