Engage Update - 18 May

We’re thrilled to announce that Renfrewshire’s digital inclusion festival DigiKnowVember is back for 2026 to make a positive difference for our communities.

Your involvement last year helped to make a real difference in people’s lives – check out our newly published report on our programme in 2025 to see all of the fantastic support that happened.

We’d love to invite your organisation to take part once again in DigiKnowVember, taking place again across the month of November.

Ready to get involved?

Email digital-inclusion@renfrewshire.gov.uk with a simple ‘yes – count me in’ in the subject heading.

At this moment we’re just looking to gauge initial interest for early planning purposes, there is no need to supply details of any events at this stage.

If you have any questions or queries, please email our mailbox at digital-inclusion@renfrewshire.gov.uk

Help us make an impact during DigiKnowVember 2026 – let’s work together to make digital inclusion a reality for everyone in Renfrewshire.

Scottish Children’s Health Awards 2026 – Nominations Open
Nominations are now open for the Scottish Children’s Health Awards 2026, celebrating the grown‑ups, children and young people across Scotland who are making a real difference to children’s lives and helping to make children’s rights real in practice.
The Awards also kick‑start the run‑up to Scottish Children’s Health Week (7–13 September 2026), with each award winner announced during the week. All winners will be invited to attend Bear’s Tea Party on 22 August to celebrate their achievement.
Nominations close on 30 June 2026. Find out more and nominate here: https://www.childrenshealthscotland.org/events/awards/

National My Health, My Rights Survey – Now Open
Our National My Health, My Rights Survey is also now live, inviting children and young people, families, professionals and organisations across Scotland to share their experiences of children’s health, care and support.
As part of our 50th‑anniversary year, this survey will provide vital evidence to help shape advocacy, influence change and ensure children’s voices are heard. The findings will be officially launched at our My Health, My Rights Conference later this year.
The survey closes on 8 June 2026. You can take part and find out more here:

Across Renfrewshire, many local groups and organisations are already doing work that connects with climate action — through food, growing, energy, transport, repair, reuse, nature, waste, wellbeing, community spaces, or simply bringing people together.

RenCAN Learn is looking for people like you to take part in short, informal video or audio conversations. It is a chance to showcase your work, raise awareness of your group, celebrate what you have achieved, and help other local organisations learn from your experience. You do not need to be a climate expert — just willing to share what you are doing and what you have learned.

Interested in taking part, or know a group we should speak to? Please get in touch with RenCAN / RenCAN Learn.

The ALLIANCE is delighted to host the next Integration in Action event in person on Thursday 11 June, 10:00-2:00, at the COSLA Conference Centre in Edinburgh. The Integration in Action series is delivered in partnership with the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC) in Scotland, and explores the factors that contribute to successful integration including examples of good practice and ideas for the future using the Academy’s Five Ambitions for the Future of Health and Care.

This event will explore inclusive leadership as a key condition for building a rights based, person centred health and social care system. Registration is free, refreshments and lunch will be provided.

To register please email integration@alliance-scotland.org.uk and let us know if you have any dietary or access requirements.
