Engage Update - 16 June
Mark your calendar: Get ready to submit charity trustee information from 30 June 2025
From 30 June 2025, OSCR will begin collecting charity trustee information through OSCR Online. Providing this information will become a legal requirement for all charities.
Charity users must submit trustee details using OSCR Online. Any charity completing a new online annual return created on or after 30 June 2025 will be required to have trustee information as part of the submission.
This data will support OSCR’s regulatory work, and the names of trustees will be published on the Scottish Charity Register from the end of 2025 to promote transparency and strengthen public trust in the sector.
This change is part of the Charities (Regulation and Administration) (Scotland) Act 2023. Other measures under the Act, such as OSCR’s expanded inquiry powers, are already in effect.

Community Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund
In February 2025 the Scottish Government announced that the CMHW Fund for Adults would now be delivered as part of a multiyear programme of delivery.
The opportunity to grant funding across two years has arisen as part of the Scottish Government’s Fairer Funding pilot, part of the government’s commitment to deliver fairer funding for the third sector. The pilot has been set up to provide more certainty and allow for longer-term planning, aiming to improve stability and cost-efficiency for community organisations and services.
We have updated the funding guidance accordingly and all information is now available on the Engage Renfrewshire website
We will also be hosting information sessions about the updates. Whether you've applied before or are completely new to the fund, these sessions are your chance to:
- Understand what multi-year funding means for your project or service
- Get clear guidance on the application process
- Ask questions directly and explore how your organisation can benefit
The 1 hour sessions are both in person and online and will be on:
- 19 June 2pm-3pm
- 24 June 6pm-7pm
- 02 July 11am-12pm
- 04 July 6pm-7pm
Click below to register to attend a session, and please share this invitation with colleagues and partner organisations who may also be interested.
