Engage Update - 16 June

We are now open for submissions for the next Renfrewshire Third Sector Wellbeing Directory.

Any third sector group that runs wellbeing-oriented activities in Renfrewshire is welcome to submit their details to be included in the Wellbeing Directory.

The Directory will include some basic details for each group, as well as a short description of their activities. It will be printed in booklet form, using an accessible font and design, as well as a PDF for digital sharing. It will be distributed to third sector groups and public sector parties across Renfrewshire, and is a great opportunity to share what your group does in your own words and to reach new audiences, partners, and referrers across Renfrewshire.

To be included in the Wellbeing Directory, go to this link  or follow the QR code below - it only takes a few minutes.

The form will be open until 01 July .

If this isn't directly relevant to your organisation, please do share it with networks and any third sector groups who might want to be included.

Food Standards Scotland

Food Standards Scotland has updated who is at higher risk of serious illness from food poisoning. Some health conditions, medicines and life stages can increase the risk. Simple food safety steps can make a real difference.

Although food poisoning can affect anyone, for people at higher risk good food safety is especially important. Simple steps such as following use‑by dates, checking your fridge temperature is between 0°C and 5°C and cooking food thoroughly until steaming hot help reduce the risk of illness.

If someone is unsure whether this advice applies to them, a healthcare professional can help.

Information on groups at higher risk, along with everyday food safety guidance, is available on the Food Standards Scotland website.
