Naturewatch Foundation Pet Rescue Grant
Naturewatch Foundation has announced the opening of applications for its 2025 Pet Rescue Grant, aimed at supporting frontline animal welfare projects in the UK. The grant focuses on helping dogs, cats, and rabbits affected by the illegal pet trade. For 2025, the foundation is offering a main grant of up to £10,000 for registered UK charities and Community Interest Companies (CICs) with annual incomes up to £5 million. Additionally, a new mini-grant of up to £1,000 is available for unincorporated non-profits, including unregistered charities and community groups. The grant can be used for various purposes, including veterinary care, behavioural support, specialist facilities or equipment, and training for personnel. However, it cannot be used for investigative or campaigning purposes. Applications for the 2025 Pet Rescue Grant will open on Friday, 24 January 2025 and close on Friday, 21 February 2025. Funding to Support Arts and Music Projects
The Fidelio Trust is offering grants of up to £5,000 to talented early-career individuals and groups in the arts, particularly music, who couldn't pursue their project or activity without financial support. An appropriate institution, college, Arts Festival or similar organisation must recommend Individuals and groups. Funding is available towards special tuition or coaching costs, to participate in external competitions, support for a specially arranged performance, and to receive support for a musical composition. The closing date for applications is midday on 12 May 2025.  Find out more
 

Grants for Musicians and Bands
Artists and bands that are at a crucial point in their careers can apply for grants of between £5,000 and £15,000 to break through to the next level of their careers. Activities eligible for funding include recording, touring and marketing. Applications can be submitted by the artists themselves or those who are working on their behalf, for example, a manager, an independent label or a publisher. The funding is being made available through the PRS Foundation’s Momentum Music Fund. The next closing date for applications is 03 February 2025.  Find out more

 

 

Holiday Grants for Disadvantaged and Disabled Children 
Grants ranging from £500 to £2,750 are available for schools, youth groups, non-profit organisations, and charities to support recreational trips or holidays within the UK for groups of disadvantaged or disabled children 13 years old or younger. Applications from the 20% most deprived areas in the UK will be given priority. The grants can cover up to two-thirds of the total cost of a holiday or trip, lasting from one to seven days. The Henry Smith Charity is offering the funding, and applications must be submitted at least six weeks before the scheduled trip or holiday. Applications for trips between the 13 January – 30 April 2025 can be made until 19 March 2025. Find out more
 

Funding to Support Disabled & Disadvantaged Children 
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to registered charities to fund equipment and services to support disabled and disadvantaged children under 13 across the UK. The Toy Trust fund helps disadvantaged children and their families to alleviate suffering; support children through awful experiences; encourage achievement through adversity; purchase vital equipment; provide care; bolster existing initiatives; initiate brand new projects; and satisfy basic needs. Groups that have carried out some form of effective fundraising by themselves are particularly encouraged to apply. The next deadline to apply is mid-February 2025 for the March meeting of Trustees. Find out more
 

Funding for Leisure Activities for Children with Additional Needs 
The Happy Days Children’s Charity is inviting applications for funding towards trips, respite breaks and group activity holidays for disadvantaged children and young people with additional needs. The charity awards funding for different types of activities to support families with children aged 3-17 who have a disability, a special need or have been abused. Activities include family day trips, and family holiday breaks. Applications can be submitted by parents, guardians, grandparents or siblings, as well as GPs, consultants, nurses or social workers. Groups that work with special needs children, including SEN schools and women’s refuges, are also eligible to apply for funding for either a day trip, theatre visit, or a group activity holiday. Funding For Projects That Assist Disadvantaged Young People
Grants of up to £6,000 are available for projects which empower disadvantaged young people aged 11 -25 in the UK to fulfil their potential by providing safe social spaces, mentoring, work, and social skills. The funding is being made available through the KFC Foundation and is available to local charities, registered community interest companies, unincorporated clubs and associations that have a local KFC restaurant in their community. Expressions of interest must be submitted via a two-minute video and a short expression of interest form. The closing date is 14 February 2025.  Find out more

 

 

Neighbourhood Ecosystem Fund
The Neighbourhood Ecosystem Fund is to help communities develop their ideas for ecosystem restoration into a pipeline of deliverable projects.  We know that communities are at different stages of this work and that it can be challenging to get support for the early stages of projects.   

  • Community groups can apply for up to £13,500
  • Place-based community groups with an income of under £200,000 can apply
  • Projects should focus on the development and feasibility stages of undertaking ecosystem restoration, rather than physical delivery.  
  • Successful applicants will receive up to £1,500 in professional fundraising support in addition to their grant. 
  • Projects must be delivered between 1 June 2025 – 31 March 2026.

Rewilding Innovation Fund Opens for Applications
Rewilding Britain, a charity focused on nature restoration, has re-opened its Rewilding Innovation Fund, which offers grants of up to £15,000 to support innovative rewilding projects across Britain. The fund is available to projects that are part of Rewilding Britain's Rewilding Network (applicants can join at the time of application) and aim to apply rewilding principles to benefit nature, climate, and people. Projects must cover at least 40 hectares, though marine-based projects can be any size. The fund was created to support the increasing number of rewilding initiatives in Britain, helping them address challenges such as securing funding and gaining public support. The closing date for applications is 28 February 2025. Find out more


Grants for Ecological Outreach Projects
Individuals and organisations such as schools, museums, libraries and community groups can apply to the British Ecological Society for grants of up to £2,000 to promote ecological science to a wide audience. The Outreach and Engagement Grants programme funds activities that engage public audiences in innovative and creative ways, and enhances the skills of others in communicating ecology to public audiences. Applications from museums and schools are welcome but projects must involve significant outreach beyond schools. Projects aimed solely at delivering curriculum to school children will not be considered. The grant may be used as part-funding for larger projects involving other sponsors. The closing date for applications is 01 March 2025. Find out more

Funding to Support Sustainable and Eco Friendly Travel 
The Naturesave Trust, a charity funded by premiums from Naturesave Insurance, has announced its latest funding round for environmental projects in the UK. The Trust is offering grants of up to £5,000 for small projects run by charities, social enterprises, and grassroots community organisations. For this funding window, the Naturesave Trust is looking to support projects that actively promote sustainable and eco-friendly approaches to travel and transport. Applications for the current funding round are open until 12 noon on 27 February 2025.  Find out more

Grants of up to £3,000 Available to Create and Improve Outdoor Community Spaces
UK-based charities and not-for-profit can apply for grants ranging from £500 to £3,000 to improve or transform outdoor community. The fund is designed to create greener and more engaging community spaces, with a focus on increasing access for marginalised or vulnerable groups. Applicants are encouraged to propose projects that bring local communities together and make a lasting difference to outdoor spaces. The funding is being made available through the Asda Foundation Outdoor Community Spaces Fund and the deadline for applications is 11 February 2025. However, potential applicants should note that the application window may close earlier if the total budget is reached.  Find out more

 

 

The MSE Charity Announces New Funding Round
Small to medium-sized not-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £10,000 to improve people’s money management skills. This funding is being made available through the MSE Charity, which aims to support activities to enhance financial education and capability across the UK. Examples of activities that could be funded include money management workshops, training volunteers to deliver workshops or to provide peer-support to others, upskilling existing staff to access financial capability training to support their clients directly and providing access to financial inclusion activities for people who are disadvantaged in anyway such as by age, disability, ethnicity or gender, etc. To be eligible, applicants must have an annual income of less than £750,000 and unrestricted reserves under six months of their running costs. There is a two stage application process and the deadline for submitting stage 1 applications is the 31 January 2025.  Find out more

 

 

Grants to Provide Solutions for People in Housing Need
The Lintel Trust, Scotland's Housing Charity, is offering small grants to support community projects addressing housing needs. Grants of £500 or £1,000 are available for initiatives that help people in social housing, focusing on projects that reduce social isolation, promote digital participation, enable older people to live independently, support individuals with disabilities, and assist those transitioning from homelessness to stable housing. Eligible organisations must have a direct connection to housing associations, housing cooperatives, or local authority social housing providers. The next application deadline is 05 February 2025, and interested organisations should visit the Lintel Trust website for more information and application guidelines.  Find out more
 

Screwfix Foundation
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to local charities and not-for-profit organisations for projects that will fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and community facilities for those in need in the UK. The funding is being made available through the Screwfix Foundations, and the grants are available for all kinds of projects, from repairing buildings and improving facilities in deprived areas to decorating the homes of people living with sickness and disabilities. Applications are reviewed every quarter. The next closing date for applications is 10 February 2025.  Find out more

 

 

Grants of up to £2,000 Available for Environmental, Community, and Music Projects
Grants of up to £2,000 are available to small Scottish charitable organisations to support environmental, community and music projects. Examples of grants awarded in the past include support for horticultural apprenticeships; grants for gardens, wildlife, and the natural environment; grants for organisations working with children, young carers, the elderly, vulnerable, and homeless; grants for music, the arts, and cultural charities; and grants for medical research and support. Applicant organisations must have an annual income of below £100,000. The funding is made available through the Cruach Trust. Applications are considered once a year and the next deadline for applications is 12 September 2025. Find out more

 

 

Student Opportunities in Public Museums & Galleries
Funding is available to help public museums, galleries, historic houses, libraries, and visual arts organisations in the UK provide meaningful paid work experience opportunities for full-time university students that enable them to explore further their interest in the arts and related future career options before they graduate. Through Art Fund’s Student Opportunities programme, organisations can apply for up to £10,000 towards the costs associated with paying students for their time to help deliver projects. Art Fund will consider 100% of the funding for the costs. Applicants should allow at least eight weeks between submitting applications and when they need a decision. Funding for School Science Projects
Primary and secondary schools in the UK can apply for funding to purchase equipment so that students can enjoy practical science, to run science enrichment projects in schools, or to enable students to participate in science events and competitions. Primary schools can apply for grants of up to £600 and Secondary schools up to £1,000. The funding is being made available through the Armourers and Brasiers' Gauntlet Trust, which is one of the leading charities in the UK supporting metallurgy and materials science education from primary school to postgraduate levels. Funds are finite and will be allocated on a first come first served basis ending on 31March 2025 or until all the funds are exhausted. Find out more

 

 

Funding to address Veterans' Housing Needs
Charities and registered social housing providers with experience in supporting Veterans are invited to apply for grants of £75,000 to £500,000 through the Major Capital Grants programme. Launched by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, this programme aims to alleviate veterans' housing challenges, contributing to the government's ambition to reduce Veteran homelessness and end rough sleeping. To be eligible for funding, applicants must demonstrate that a substantial portion of their organisation's work focuses on Veterans or that they possess extensive experience working with this demographic. The grants will enhance the availability of affordable and supportive housing options for Veterans, contributing to their overall well-being and integration into civilian life.
