Scottish Huntington's Association 
Finance Officer
We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join our small but busy team based at our National Office in Paisley. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to share and develop your skills while contributing to our mission to ensure that every person in Scotland who is impacted by Huntington’s disease has access to the specialist care and support they need when they need it, regardless of where they live.

St Vincent's Hospice
Senior Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser
Working closely with the Director of Income Generation, this role is responsible for Trusts and Foundation applications, cultivating relationships with funders and maximising on the funding needs of the Hospice. You will work with key audiences and a wide range of stakeholders to embed an effective income stream.

Staff Nurse
St Vincent’s Hospice is actively recruiting for an additional Staff Nurse, working 37.5 hours per week rotationally within our In-Patient Unit, ensuring the implementation of a high standard of care within the service.

Victim Support Scotland




Victim Support Scotland is the leading charity dedicated to helping people affected by crime across Scotland. Their Support Services provide free and confidential emotional and practical support to anyone affected by crime in Scotland.  They offer bespoke support, personalised to the needs of each individual.
They are looking for more people to join our incredible team of volunteers who provide information, guidance, emotional support and practical assistance to help anyone affected by crime, including victims, witnesses their families and friends. This may take place in person, online, and in court.  
 
Support Volunteer
Victim Support Scotland are looking for enthusiastic and committed people from all backgrounds across Scotland.

While qualifications and experience are good to have, what’s more important is to have a ‘can do’ attitude and are committed to providing compassionate and informative services to people who have been affected by crime.

You could be a student or recent graduate who is keen to build their CV; or you could be a mid-career professional who is looking to take their life in a different direction. They are open to applications from people from all walks of life.

Admin Volunteer
Renfrewshire Carers Centre’s vision is to ensure that Carers throughout Renfrewshire are recognised and valued for their contribution, with equal access to a good quality of life and opportunity that is not impacted by their caring role. Their mission is to provide a lifeline for Carers in Renfrewshire, improving the quality of their lives and those they care for by ensuring they are well informed, involved, supported and empowered.

Desired duties: -

  • Meet and greet visitors and carers as they arrive to the centre
  • Help setting up meeting rooms when required
  • General administration tasks – sorting and franking incoming mail, organising marketing materials and centre information packs
  • Support assist worker to tidy meeting rooms after support groups
  • Other required tasks where able.

Volunteer Driver (Flexible)
Renfrewshire Carers Centre are looking to recruit a group of flexible volunteer drivers to support their Carers and cared for to hospital and GP appointments.

Time Commitment
The time commitment for this role will depend on demand, this means that your availability and level of commitment will fluctuate. You will be given as much notice as possible, however there may be times you are contacted last minute to support with an appointment.

Desired duties

  • Available for volunteer co-ordinator to contact you with journey details
  • Being prompt and on time for all pick-ups and drop offs
  • Being courteous, friendly and professional at all times
  • Contacting Renfrewshire Carers Centre if you have any questions or concerns.
  • Letting the Carers Centre know, as soon as possible, if you can no longer undertake a journey
  • Feeding back any Safeguarding concerns to us as soon as possible.

 
Desired skills

  • Due to the nature of the role you should have access to a car, be insured and have a clean current driving license.
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable
  • Maintain confidentiality while understanding the need to any safeguarding concerns with centre staff
  • All volunteers will need to have a PVG (Protecting vulnerable groups) scheme carried out

Girlguiding Paisley Division  

Girlguiding Paisley are looking for volunteer leaders to support Rainbow, Brownie, Guide and Ranger units locally. Throughout Paisley we provide weekly meetings for 500 girls and young women between the ages of 4 and 18.

What can you expect to do as a volunteer with us?

  • Firstly Fun and friendship from other volunteers!
  • Help plan and deliver activities which are based on our Girlguiding programme. These are accessible and inclusive. Often they’re planned by volunteers and girls together. Giving young people opportunities to play and learn in a supportive environment with adventure at the heart of what we do. Some of the planning requires to be done away from unit meetings 
  • You’ll go to your unit meeting and run activities with the girls and other volunteers
  •  Follow our safeguarding policy as Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do at Girlguiding, so you’ll help provide a safe, girl-only space where every girl and young woman can take part 
  • You might communicate with parents, carers and other Girlguiding volunteers
  • Full training will be given

Citizens Advice Bureau - Trustee Recruitment

Renfrewshire CABs office is located in Paisley, we are supported by 36 members of staff and 50 Volunteers including board members. The Bureau supports individuals with a wide range of general enquiries whilst project staff provides specialist support on topics including benefits, debt, utilities and money matters.

We’re looking for people who are keen to make a positive impact in their local community by joining our Board of Trustees. We’d love to hear from you if you have expertise in HR, Communications, Governance, and Public and Third Sector organisations. But even if you don’t it’s more important that you’re a team player with big-picture thinking, good judgement, and a dedication to giving back and helping our organisation thrive.

It’s an exciting time to join our organisation as we gear up to enhance and expand our services to meet the evolving needs of our community. Your ideas, skills, and enthusiasm could really shape how we tackle these challenges and make a real difference.

Applicants will have the experience and skills to ensure that the charity continues to develop and provide high-quality long-term services. As a Trustee, you will help ensure the good governance of the organisation which will involve attendance at bi-monthly board meetings and an annual AGM, alongside, where your time allows, participation in working project groups and sub-committees.
