Volunteering

Proposed PVG Fee Waiver U-Turn for Volunteers

Volunteer Scotland have communicated the proposal to remove the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership fee waiver for volunteers. This plan from

Disclosure Scotland would mean that volunteers could be liable to pay 40% of the fee for their PVG membership.

As a result, they are seeking views to enable them to consider fee discounts for certain groups applying for Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership disclosures and views on the fees generally.

The focus on this consultation is on gathering more evidence on Disclosure Scotland’s approach to fees in certain circumstances to help them develop policy approaches.

We want to ensure your voice is included in Renfrewshire’s response to this news. If you would like to enhance Renfrewshire’s wider response to Volunteer Scotland, please complete this short survey…

https://forms.office.com/e/zqS1kJC8Ms

Please respond before 26 March.

If you want to share your group’s individual response via the consultation, click here…
