Gordon McGuiness
Director
Gordon is a Director with Skills Development Scotland, where he leads its ‘Industry and Enterprise Team’ which supports and promotes skill enhancement within each of the Government’s Key Economic Sectors and delivers support to organisation on Workforce Development. The Skills Development Scotland Team works with key organisations such as the Scottish Funding Council to develop a Skill Supply model which is better aligned to future economic requirements. Prior to joining Skills Development Scotland, Gordon had 17 years experience with Scottish Enterprise and was based in Paisley with Renfrewshire Enterprise in a range of operational roles.
In addition to Engage Renfrewshire, Gordon was the Chair of the Board of Management at Reid Kerr College in Paisley, prior to its merger into West College Scotland, he is currently a Board Member of Glasgow Clyde College, is Chair of Radio City Association Ltd, a Healthy Living Centre Initiative. Gordon is also a member of the SQA Advisory Council.
