Alan Gibson is a senior marketing and events professional with more than 25 years’ experience delivering high-profile cultural, music and civic events. Alan recently served as a Senior Events Officer at Renfrewshire Council, where he developed and delivered a popular events programme including the Paisley Food and Drink Festival, SMA Shot Day, Paisley Halloween Festival and various Christmas Lights Switch On events across Renfrewshire.

Previously, Alan held senior management and operational roles with DF Concerts and Events, the National Galleries of Scotland, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society and STV Group Plc, leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing significant budgets and driving digital innovation and commercial revenues. 

Alan is a former Senior Events Officer with Renfrewshire Council, and has worked on promoting and marketing cultural programmes in a wide variety of roles across Scotland.
