Third Sector Lab - INTRODUCTION TO CHAYN'S ONLINE TRAUMA SUPPORT SERVICE (PART 1)

  21/03/2024

  2pm - 3.30pm

This workshop is part 1 of a two-part series.

This workshop is designed to support gender-based violence organisations to apply learnings and elements from Bloom to their own work.

 In this workshop, we’ll:

  • Explore how we run Bloom
  • Share what platforms and integrations we use
  • Discuss some of the challenges of running a remote trauma support platform
  • Share some of our learnings so far
  • Learn about delivering impactful trauma support online

There will also be ample opportunity for connection and discussion with other peers working in the gender-based violence field and beyond.

Who is this workshop for?

This online workshop is open to nonprofits and organisations that are running trauma-responsive, healing and well-being, or mental health services. This workshop is particularly relevant for gender-based violence (GBV) organisations who want to learn from the Bloom model to inform their own work. If you work in a GBV organisation that is thinking about how to adapt your existing services or programmes to fit a more online model, or are thinking about how to adapt Bloom’s content to be delivered as part of in-person services, this workshop is for you!

We strongly suggest participants join from a computer and not a mobile device as we will be doing practical exercises in Miro. We will do a brief Miro tutorial for people who have never used it before, or you can watch one in advance here!

About Chayn

Chayn is a global non-profit that creates digital, multilingual resources to support the healing of survivors of gender-based violence. Our focus is on empowering women and other marginalised genders who have experienced domestic, sexual or tech-based abuse. Every decision we make – and every resource we create – has lived experience at its core.

So far, we’ve helped over 560,000 survivors around the world. And — with a mission to make technology a tool for health, not harm — we reach more every day. Our resources present vital information and advice in simple, easy-to-understand language.

Where we go next is led by what survivors need. Our name (pronounced ‘ch-en’) means peace of mind in Urdu. We believe every survivor deserves solace—and we won’t stop until that’s accomplished.
