Development Trusts Association Scotland - Working well with consultants
15/07/2025
2pm - 3.30pm
Development Trusts & community groups often work with consultants, e.g. for business planning, community consultations, feasibility studies. However, relationships and outcomes are not always satisfactory and can lead to frustration when significant financial & human resources have been invested.
This webinar will cover good practice and pitfalls in terms of working with consultants, from the tender stage to the end of the agreed work package. What do groups need to be careful of? How can they make it clear to consultants what they expect from them? How do you build a work programme and check-ins?
We will also hear from Neil Fergusson, Development Officer for Kilmadock Development Trust (Stirling), who will share some of his experiences working with consultants in regards to creating retrofit plans for community buildings.
