The material and energy used to create these items are lost after only a few minutes of use – and are often to be found littering our parks and streets, or posing a risk to our wildlife. The Single Use Plastic Ban was introduced into law from 1st June 2022 and the scope of materials within is likely to continue increasing.
This session will provide attendees with an overview of the impacts of SUPs, the impacts of the legislation and proven opportunities to remove SUPs from your business. The topics for discussion will include:
- What is meant by “Single Use Plastics”?
- What are the impacts of Single Use Plastics and why are they being targeted?
- What legislation (current/upcoming) targets Single Use Plastics and what does that legislation mean for SMEs and supply chains
- Opportunities to design Single Use Plastics out of your business practices - with examples and impacts from other businesses
