Volunteering Focus - 31 July

Renfrewshire's Volunteer Fair 2024

We are delighted to share the details of the next Engage Renfrewshire Volunteer Fair – giving local groups the chance to promote the wonderful work and support your organisation offers across Renfrewshire.

Get in touch with Louise if you would like to be a stallholder on the day. Spaces are limited and first come first serve. The event is free to members of the public, and will be a great opportunity to promote your organisation and any volunteering opportunities you currently have. If you would like a stall please email lwalker@engagerenfrewshire.com

This event will be promoting the power of volunteering through lived experience, and would kindly ask stallholders to bring 1 or 2 active volunteers from your organisation to chat to members of the public about their role with you and answer any questions they might have. Event details below...

A guide to involving young people as volunteers

Volunteer Glasgow have produced a handy guide on how to involve young people as volunteers. This guide provides us with some general tips and advice aimed at supporting young people and reducing barriers when involving younger volunteers. Young people can bring their own fresh and youthful ideas to your organisation, and your organisation could be missing out on these advantages. This guide runs through Top Tips to involving Young Volunteers, How to manage and support Young Volunteers, Young Volunteers and insurance, and a Young Volunteer checklist!
