Engage Update - 29 July
Through the Mill
ReMode Youth invite you to celebrate the launch of the Through the Mill project with taster sessions, mingling and making.
We will have light refreshments on arrival, with words from ReMode's Gillian Steel, and some fun textile activities. Try your hand at printing methods to make mending patches to take away, add a line to our collaborative weaving loom, see a natural fibre spinning demonstration and find out more about getting involved with ReMode and the Through the Mill project.
Have a story to tell about Paisley's textiles heritage? Interested in volunteering your skills? Are you 11-25 and interested in taking part in free creative workshops? Looking for opportunities for young people in Paisley? We'd love to see you all at the launch!

Listen Up, Speak Up - Free Training
The NSPCC has just launched its Listen Up, Speak Up campaign across the UK – aimed at empowering everyone to know what to do if they are ever worried about a child or family – and we would like to offer your organisation a free one-hour training workshop which can be delivered face-to-face or online. We can be flexible to suit the needs of your organisation!
It’s up to all of us to help keep children safe, so Listen Up, Speak Up is for people who may not work with children or families in a formal capacity, but might encounter them regularly - either through their work or personal lives, following the ethos of ‘it takes a village to raise a child’. I believe it could be beneficial for your organisation due to the large number of community members and professionals that you work with!
This training is aimed to helping boost adult's confidence and knowledge on how to keep children safe, and what to do if they have a concern - it would be suitable for staff, volunteers and also adults from the community! The workshop lasts 45 mins -1 hour.
Please contact Lauren Engall if this is something you might like to hear more about, sign up to, or to enquire about any of NSPCC other work: lauren.engall@nspcc.org.uk
