Doors Open Day 2024

Doors Open Days is Scotland’s largest free festival that celebrates places and stories, new and old.

Every September you can explore hundreds of fascinating buildings across Scotland for free. Some open up once a year, some just once a lifetime.

When Doors Open Days began in 1990, 44 events took place in Glasgow and Ayr. In the past 33 years our festival has expanded to reach all 32 council regions of Scotland with visitors enjoying access to nearly 1,000 events.

Doors Open Days is coordinated nationally by the Scottish Civic Trust and is part of European Heritage Days alongside Scottish Archaeology Month, coordinated by Archaeology Scotland. Both are supported by Historic Environment Scotland.

A dedicated team of regional coordinators across Scotland work closely with venues and groups to develop and produce local programmes for their communities.

Renfrewshire Climate Hub and Action Network

LEAP are doing scoping work to set up a Renfrewshire Climate Hub and Action Network with support from the Scottish Government. The aims of the Hub are to support the people of Renfrewshire to flourish through climate action, creating tangible outcomes for people and communities that enhance wellbeing. We will do this by connecting people and places, sharing knowledge and skills and funding and developing projects.

We have created a survey to ensure that the hub does relevant and needed work. If you're a community organisation based in Renfrewshire, we'd like to hear from you. We're looking for a breadth of responses, not just from organisations who do 'green' or climate related work. It should only take up to 10 minutes of your time, but will be invaluable to the Hub.

PATH (Scotland)’s Women’s Network
A positive action initiative for Black women/Women of Colour
We all know that there are times when we are confident. We feel comfortable with ourselves, positive about our abilities and we behave assertively. But there’s so much going on and so much to do that, sometimes, that belief in ourselves disappears. So, if you’re a Black Woman/Woman of colour who wants a safe space to talk, to listen, to give and get support, to be inspired by a guest speaker and to recharge your batteries, alongside others who were doing the same, this network is for you.
