Engage Update - 19 August
SMiSA are the majority owners of St Mirren Football Club. St Mirren are our club and it’s place at the heart of the local community is precious to us.
SMiSA have purchased 20 season tickets for the 2024/2025 campaign and for home games will offer these out to charities and community groups in Renfrewshire and beyond. Our aim is to give as many people who for various reasons cannot get along to support St Mirren the chance.
This will be the sixth season we have ran this venture and so far we have allowed over 1200 Renfrewshire residents the opportunity to support the Buddies.

The Wise Group Recruitment Event
The Wise Group in partnership with DWP will be hosting a recruitment event at “Platform” (formerly the Arches), 253 Argyle Street Glasgow G2 8DL on Wednesday 21 August, 10am-1.30pm.
Subject to change we’ve had commitment from 60 organisations who are national/global brands that either have high volume recruitment needs/recruitment needs across multiple local authority areas.
The purpose of the event is to bridge the gap between employers who are recruiting and candidates who are looking for sustainable employment. The event has been put onto the radar of our colleagues within the employability sector, across eleven local authority areas as well as social media channels, with the intention that employers will have the opportunity to meet a diverse range of candidates on the day who are:
- Unemployed and looking for sustainable employment.
- Employed, but looking for a change in career
- Employed, but facing redundancy.
- Employed, but needing an additional job to complement their existing salary.
- School leavers looking for their first opportunity
