Impact Arts is running a 12-week creative arts youth employability programme for young people aged 16-24 years, starting 11th September 2024. This is a Stage 1/2 course on the employability pipeline.

Renfrewshire based young people who are not in work, education or training can attend this programme which runs on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10am-3pm, to build confidence, make new friends, get support towards next steps and participate in lots of creative arts activities.

Participants can receive £12 per day training allowance for attending the programme and travel costs will also be reimbursed. In addition, there will be food and drinks available during the workshops. The programme will run at PACE’s venue on the top floor of the Paisley Shopping Centre, Causeyside Street, Paisley. This venue is a welcoming, safe and creative space. It’s also really easy to get to; located a short walk from Paisley Gilmour Street Station.

Impact Arts’ friendly, supportive delivery staff will work with participants during the programme to ensure everyone reaches their potential and has a great experience. Our Youth Worker will offer tailored support to help participants towards education, further training, an apprenticeship or employment. Our Creative Lead tutor will introduce participants to new artistic techniques and will guide them in producing artworks using various artforms.

At the end of the programme, there will be a celebratory showcase of work. This will be planned and hosted by the participants. Friends and family members will be invited to help the young people celebrate their achievements.

If you are a young person or a referrer, and you’re interested in joining the Express Yourself programme, please complete our REFERRAL FORM. A member of staff from Impact Arts will then be in touch.

We are grateful to our funders who have helped to make this programme a reality - the Renfrewshire Employability Grants programme and the Multiply fund.

If you’d like more information about the programme, you can visit our website: IMPACT ARTS WEBSITE or you can contact Programme Coordinator Andrea Gavin on andrea.gavin@impactarts.co.uk. I’ve attached a Participant Guide PDF booklet which should answer any questions.
