Join Local Energy Scotland on Tuesday 19 September in central Glasgow to find out how communities can take action on renewable energy with the support of the Scottish Government’s Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES).
Plenary sessions will look at organisations and communities that are taking innovative steps to community engagement, as well as those that are working to decarbonise heat. Gillian Martin MSP, Minister for Energy and the Environment, will deliver the keynote speech. You’ll also hear inspirational case studies as well as the policy behind the action.
In the afternoon, practical workshop sessions will help you understand what knowledge, skills and actions you might need to develop your community renewable energy projects.

The Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry has launched its listening project, Let’s Be Heard: Sharing Scotland’s COVID Experience. We are keen to ensure that the views of the people of Renfrewshire are represented
Let’s Be Heard is inviting everyone affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Scotland to share their experiences with the Inquiry. By hearing directly from people across the country, the Inquiry can better understand how the pandemic impacted our lives and communities. This will help Scotland to learn important lessons for the future.
