Childcare Services Manager
The successful candidate will develop and manage a range of quality community childcare services. This will include - early learning and childcare; respite care; eligible 2s; School Age Childcare and Summer Holiday Activities to provide a holistic and integrated offer to families in Possilpark and the surrounding communities. A qualification to (or be working towards) a BA Childhood Practice or Graduate PDA Childhood Practice at SCQF Level 9 and a minimum of two years proven experience of managing an early learning and childcare service, respite care and /or School Age Childcare is essential for this post.

August's network meeting is set for Friday 18th and we're heading out to Inchinnan for some net-walking!
We'll be joining Inchinnan Development Trust for a walk through their community woodland - Teucheen Woods
We'll then head to R34 Cafe's Meeting Space, also in Inchinnan.

The Prince’s Trust are working in partnership with comedienne, entrepreneur and TV personality Anna Devitt to bring you a 1-week masterclass in Comedy and Confidence, giving you the opportunity to express your creativity, develop your confidence, meet new people as well as gaining an accredited qualification. We’ll also help you with your CV.
Not only will it boost your confidence and employability, but you’ll also have the chance to benefit from the support of one our mentors to help you uncover your next steps.
SCQF level 3/4 for Comedy & Confidence
- National 4 Progression Award in Creative Industries Level 4
- Develop skills in: Communication, Setting and Achieving Goals, Managing Feelings, Working with others, Confidence + Wellbeing
- Travel expenses will be reimbursed. Lunch provided

Paisley Town Hall - ONEREN announce first events
The first events which will be hosted in the refurbished Paisley Town Hall have been announced. The first will be a community-led project which celebrates the musical history of the iconic venue, before paying audiences will be able to enjoy a co-production of Macbeth by Paisley Opera.
Those performances will be followed by the Mòd Phàislig 2023, when The Royal National Mòd comes to town from Friday 13 - Saturday 21 October.

2023 marks the 25th Anniversary of the SURF Awards
The SURF Awards are widely recognised as the most prestigious in the field of Scottish community regeneration.
This year the 5 categories are:
- Community Led Regeneration
- Removing Barriers to Employability (now open to all employability projects)
- Improving Scotland's Places
- Housing and Regeneration
- Creative Regeneration
The SURF Awards are delivered each year by SURF, a regeneration forum with over 300 cross-sector member organisations across Scotland, in partnership with the Scottish Government.
The purpose is to highlight, celebrate and share the achievements of initiatives that address physical, social and economic challenges in communities across Scotland.
So if you know of or work with a great project or you think the area that you live/work in is worthy of an Award then get applying! It is a straightforward application form!
Feel free to share with those you think might be interested. Alternatively, you can nominate a project by completing an application form on their behalf as a nominating party.

Social Security Scotland - Stakeholder Events
On the 29 August 2023 Adult Disability Payment will have been live throughout Scotland for one year.
Social Security Scotland are hosting free online events to explore what we have learned from one year of delivering this form of assistance.
These events are for stakeholders in Scotland who provide advice or support to adults who are living with a terminal illness, disability and/or long-term health condition who may be eligible to apply for Adult Disability Payment.
This event will cover:

- User Research
- Continuous Improvement Activity
- Future plans
- Policy
This events will be hosted via Microsoft Teams and last for 90 minutes.
