Good Shepherd Centre, Bishopton
The Good Shepherd Centre (GSC) supports vulnerable young people from the age of 12 up to 18. We offer a place of safety and nurture and a positive, holistic and strengths-based ethos. 

  • Residential Care Worker The Residential Care Worker is a key position promoting and upholding the vision and values of the GSC as a place of care, safety and learning.
  • Senior Residential Care Worker The Senior Residential Care Worker is a key position, occupying a role critical to the overall welfare of young people in the residential setting.
  • Assistant House Manager  As Assistant House Manager your role will include supporting the planning, prioritising, organising and reviewing of group care for young people resident in the House.
  • Duty Officer  As Duty Officer, you will be part of the management team and have the responsibility for supporting, co-ordinating and managing the running of the care service across Lyle, Kilpatrick, Nevis and Lomond House and Hillview Cottage, our secure care and close support and Semi-independent living houses.
  • Control Room Support The Control Room Support will fill a Security/Reception role and is responsible for the security in and around the Centre and the movement of all staff, young people, and visitors within it.
  • General Maintenance Assistant The General Maintenance Assistant will join our Maintenance team who are key to the provision of a safe, welcoming, and homely environment for young people and colleagues to live, learn and work in whilst at the GSC.


Local Energy Action Plan (LEAP)
PT Larder Superviser - 6 Month Contract
Reporting to the Service Manager, the role is based on-site at the Community Larder. The role will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Larder service, working closely with the Volunteer Team. It will involve both driving duties and physically lifting and carrying produce and putting up tables on-site.

Programmes Coordinator (P/T)
The post holder will be able to plan, organise and deliver community-led activities that are engaging and welcoming for all. They must be passionate about community work and social issues and enthusiastic about making a difference. We would expect someone who wants to spend time with people, knows how to engage with them, encourages them to get involved and does all this with kindness and compassion. The post holder will be asked to work 1-2 evenings and 1 weekend day with occasional daytime work for training and development.


OSCR - Secondment Opportunity
Engagement Manager
The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator is offering two exciting secondment opportunities to play key parts in implementing the Charities (Regulation and Administration) (Scotland) Act 2023.  We are looking for experienced individuals from the third sector in Scotland to come and work with us to maximise the benefits of the new Act for the charity sector and the public in Scotland.  


St Vincent's Hospice

  • Staff Nurse Salary – £33,000 per annum + 15% shift allowance for qualifying shifts St Vincent’s Hospice is actively recruiting for an additional Staff Nurse, working 37.5 hours per week rotationally within our In-Patient Unit, ensuring the implementation of a high standard of care within the service.
  • Administrator In the role of Administrator, you will have a pivotal role in assisting our Income Generation team and contributing to the overall functioning of the hospice. This diverse position demands outstanding organisational skills, precision, and the capability to prioritise a diverse range of tasks.
  • Maintenance Operative Carrying out non-specialist repairs & maintenance duties within all hospice properties, providing & maintaining a safe environment for patients, families, staff & volunteers.

Project Worker

Kairos Women+ is a community-led organisation seeking transformational change in the lives of women and non-binary people, providing a range of support and opportunities including personal development, training, creative workshops, social events, volunteering, and one-to-one support.

Thank you to Gryffe High for having me on Wednesday evening at their Careers Festival. There was over 60 stalls and pupils from all year groups were in attendance. It was great to answer all your volunteering questions, and help you find the right opportunities for you through our volunteering portal. What’s on?



Trinity High School are running a charity showcase event as part of their YPI delivery project. This will run on Friday 16 February from 11am-12.30pm within the school. We are looking for local charities to come and have a stall to provide pupils with information on the valuable work they do to support our communities. The event will run in a careers fayre format with pupils going round charities to find out information about them with the intention of choosing one to represent. The winning charity in the competition will receive £3000.
