Please find below information on a new pilot programme delivered by SCVO around managing people skills and basic HR awareness.
The HR & Employment Service is looking to develop a pilot programme around the essentials for managing staff and would really appreciate your help. We are looking for your input on our initial thoughts and also to help identify organisations who would be interested in participating in the programme.
Our objective would be:
- To develop and deliver a programme which provides individuals with basic HR awareness, knowledge and skills that are voluntary sector focussed.
The expected benefits for individuals and organisations are:
- Opportunity to network/develop a network of support.
- Increased people management awareness, knowledge & practical application.
- Increased understanding of employer/employee relationships.
- How to use HR data to best effect in business cases/funding applications.
- Opportunity to work through real issues in a safe environment.
We would be looking for a maximum of 12 people to attend 3 workshops over a 3 month period with some activities in between workshops, starting in October.
Lindsay Macpherson is the HRESS Manager and would really appreciate the opportunity to speak to you about the programme and gain your input and help.
