Grants of up to £30,000 Available to Open Career Opportunities for Young People in the Music Industry
Businesses, collectives, and not-for-profit organisations in the music industry can apply for grants of £5,000 to £30,000 to help open up career opportunities for young people aged 18-25 and support employers in the industry to create new and diverse talent. The funding is made available through the Youth Music Network’s Incubator fund and priority will be given to projects that support young people from under-represented groups. This includes both musicians and those who want to work in wider industry roles. Applications from consortia are encouraged. The deadline for applications is 24 March 2023. Find out more here 

 

Funding to Empower Vulnerable, Disadvantaged & Under-Represented Communities
Bentley Motors Ltd is making grants of up to £500 available to charitable organisations working with vulnerable, disadvantaged or under-represented communities. The Advancing Life Chances Small Grants Programme provides funding for communities located within 20 miles of the 19 Bentley locations across the UK. The programme aims to empower these communities by removing barriers and improving access to services, education and employability; helping people to develop life skills; safeguarding the environment and boosting community spirit; and helping people live healthier lives. Funding to Improve Homes & Community Spaces
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to UK registered charities for projects that improve homes and community spaces for those most in need, such as those experiencing homelessness, financial hardship, poor health, disability, or other disadvantage or distress. The funding is made available by the B&Q Foundation to decorate, renovate, or create spaces, both indoors and outdoors, where people can feel at home and have a sense of belonging. Projects could include creating community gardens, redecorating properties, installing new boilers, and creating new buildings or rooms. Larger funding amounts are occasionally awarded depending on the strength of the application and project. Applications can be submitted at any time and organisations should submit an expression of interest in the first instance. Find out more here 

 

Historic Environment Scotland Launches New Funding Programme
Historic Environment Scotland has announced a new funding programme to support not-for-profit organisations such as charities, local authorities, and religious bodies for historic environment projects. The Historic Environment Grants Programme replaces previous funding programmes, and will focus on Scotland's historic environment, from historic buildings, ancient monuments, and archaeology, to stories and traditions. Grants ranging from £1,000 to £500,000 will be available across three funding tiers to support projects such as archaeological excavations and research, repair and consolidation works, skills and training, outreach and learning, interpretation, and maintenance and management plans. Expressions of Interest can be submitted at any time once the programme launches in March 2023, with specific deadlines for each funding tier. Find out more here 

 

Match Funding of up to £10,000 Available to Support Environmental Charities
Environmental charities across the UK are invited to apply for match funding to support projects which address the climate emergency. Launched by the Big Give, the Green Match Fund is a match funding campaign that runs for one week in April. All public donations made to participating charities during the campaign will be matched up to a specific amount - either £2,500, £5,000 or £10,000. Match funding is provided by the Big Give’s Champions which has previously included the Reed Foundation, Garfield Weston Foundation and a number of other philanthropists and funders. Charities wanting to participate in the campaign have until  17 February 2023 to submit their application. Find out more here

Small grants for community organisations
If you're a charity, organisation or community group in Scotland who shares our passion for health and wellbeing then ASH Scotland has the grant for you! Lots of community groups across Scotland have already benefited from our small grants scheme and received support to tackle smoking in their community. Successful projects receive:

·         a small grant of £500.

·         a package of tailored support, over 6 months.

·         Free resources and training.
