Maryhill Housing HR Officer - Permanent
Full Time 35hrs hours per week 9am – 5pm
Based in the north of Glasgow, Maryhill Housing has been established for over 40 years. We have over 3000 tenants and 700 owner occupiers who we provide a factoring service to. The Role
To work with the HR Manager to provide a high quality, customer focussed HR service, ensuring staff and managers are provided with key guidance and support on HR processes and procedures, and the efficient processing of employee data, contracts and records.
This role has a competitive salary banding of £35,022- £38,456 EVH Grade 7 PA22 – PA25. n addition, you will receive an excellent benefits package, which includes 25 days annual leave (pro rata), 15 days public holiday (pro rata) and access to a contributory pension scheme. FlightPath Fund offering over £115,000 in community support – The Gazette
WORTHY causes across Renfrewshire are being given the chance to land a windfall, courtesy of the Glasgow Airport FlightPath Fund. More than £115,000 is being made available in 2023 to community groups and projects which can demonstrate positive outcomes in education, employment or the environment. The FlightPath Fund committee is especially keen to support sustainability-themed projects aimed at improving the environment in the communities local to Glasgow Airport.
Johnstone Library to provide access to virtual medical consultations – The Gazette
New technology has been installed in Johnstone Library that will enable local residents to take advantage of video health consultations. The ‘Near Me’ pod is a private consultation room and means patients who may otherwise need to travel long distances for face-to-face specialist medical appointments are able to be virtually assessed by clinicians based across the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) health board region. Christine Laverty, chief officer for Renfrewshire HSCP, said: “I’m delighted to see Johnstone included in this pilot which marks an exciting development for patients in the area.
Communities in Renfrewshire invited to #YouDecide event – The Gazette
Communities are being invited to attend the announcement of the successful projects for Renfrewshire Council’s #YouDecide campaign. Local people put forward ideas for infrastructure projects in their area, such as park upgrades, lighting improvements or enhanced road safety, with £1.2million made available for investment by the council. Communities have been casting their votes for the projects they believe will make the biggest difference to their local area and each of the 16 areas will receive £75,000, with a maximum of £50,000 per idea.
Aldi stores in Renfrewshire launch Too Good To Go service – The Gazette
Retail giant Aldi is rolling out its surplus food bag service to all of its stores in Renfrewshire. Working with food saving app Too Good To Go, the supermarket chain aims to tackle food waste while also offering lower prices to customers. Aldi, which has stores in Johnstone, Renfrew, Erskine and Paisley, will be selling surplus food bags that contain a range of grocery products that are approaching their sell-by or use-by dates at less than a third of the price. The 'magic bags' will cost £3.30 each to purchase for at least £10 worth of food.

Youth Work Training Opportunities in Renfrewshire
We are delighted to be working with Youth Scotland to offer an opportunity for youth work training in Renfrewshire, across our Renfrewshire Youth Work Network and Community Learning and Development partners. The Professional Development Award in Youth Work provides a pathway to qualified youth work for anyone aged 18+ who works in the local authority or 3rd sector in Renfrewshire. It is recommended that people applying have at least 1 year experience of working with young people, paid or voluntary work.
