Making Children’s Rights Real Across Scotland
27 May 2021 2:00pm – 4:30pm
Purpose: In support to the Year of Childhood, and to continue our commitment to children’s rights, this event will give an update on the UNCRC Incorporation. It will also bring people together to share experiences, tools and practice in relation to children and young people participation work.
Contributors include (in alphabetical order): Aberlour, The ALLIANCE, Children in Scotland, Children’s Parliament, Fife Young Carers, Includem, Licketyspit, Together Scotland and many more to be confirmed.
Who is this for?
Anyone who has a role in supporting children and young people to realise their rights when making decisions affecting them, whether you’re in the third sector or the statutory sector.

“No poverty of aspiration or ambition”
Renfrewshire’s Care Experienced Children and Young People Conference.
The conference will be spread out over 4 weeks starting 10th May with a key note speaker each week. Content will be recorded and saved on the digital platform and so colleagues can access all content.
Each week will focus on the following areas:
- 10.05.21 The role of Corporate Parenting
- 17.05.21 Positive destinations and the importance of encouraging care experienced young people to stay on at school and for all of us have aspirations for them
- 24.05.21 the power of positive relationships and the impact that key adults can have on the lives of care experienced young people.
- 31.05.21 Renfrewshire’s commitment to the Promise
