Children’s Mental Health Week Conversation Café
Barnardo’s are running 2 informal, hour-long conversation cafes on Zoom for young people in Renfrewshire on the 3rd & 4th February. These will be opportunities to chat and connect with other young people about mental health and for them to share experiences and thoughts on what has helped young people get through the lockdown so far.
This would best suit young people aged 16-25.
- Session 1 – Wednesday 3rd February at 1230pm
- Session 2 – Thursday 4th February at 4pm
Provosts Awards 2021
We all know someone who deserves to be recognised for their selfless dedication to others but often they don’t realise the fantastic work they do.
This is your chance to let them shine—nominate that special person for a community award.
I Am Me - Keep Safe Awards
Keep Safe is an award-winning initiative that started in Renfrewshire in response to feedback from the disabled community that there were times they did not feel safe when travelling independently.
The initiative is a partnership between I Am Me Scotland and Police Scotland and was originally developed to support disabled to participate in community life, free from fear of harassment and abuse. However, the initiative has received wide support and has continued to evolve to become a national network with over 800 Keep Safe places throughout Scotland. The initiative is available for anyone to use if they feel lost, scared, vulnerable or simply need some breathing space.
You can nominate any Keep Safe place that you think should be recognised with our very first Keep Safe Place Award. To nominate a Keep Safe place, please go to the website, complete the form and return before 20 February 2021.
