Support for Individuals
Renfrewshire Foodbank - In order to take emergency food provisions and access to support closer to people in Renfrewshire we are trialling a mobile foodbank. This is mainly to reach people living in more rural areas such as Bridge of Weir, Lochwinnoch, etc. This will be in addition to our current distribution centres in Paisley, Johnstone and Renfrew and will expand over time.
This service has started on Tuesday afternoons in Foxbar Community Centre Car Park and Bridge of Weir Cargill Centre Car Park. Use of this service is through a booking system. Food and essential items will be given out of our van which will be parked discretely and will have no branding on it identifying it as Renfrewshire Foodbank.
If anyone would like to access this service, any of the Foodbank referral agencies (Renfrewshire CAB, Advice Works, RAMH, etc.) can book a time for them. Alternatively they should contact Renfrewshire Foodbank on 0300 102 2500 or firstname.lastname@example.org.'

October 4-10 is Challenge Poverty Week 2021 and in Renfrewshire we're working together to ensure that benefits and money advice for people in vulnerable situations is the very best it can.
Join us on Thursday 30 September at 10am-10.55am for a cross sector event aimed at anyone working or volunteering with people who need support with benefits and money management.
We'll be providing an overview of the benefits and grants available to families with dependent children living in Scotland. We'll also be discussing local credit options, and how asking the right questions can help reduce the stigma of poverty.
Participants will learn what is available in terms of benefits and credit, how to gather information sensitively and effectively, and where to go for further information on these and other financial matters.
This event is a collaborative effort by Renfrewshire Council, Renfrewshire HSCP and Engage. Book here https://tinyurl.com/95zaer73 for this MS Teams event, and a link will be emailed to you on Wednesday 29 September. For further info email your question to email@example.com

This year, they are also offering funding for one-off purchases of equipment that will help you to promote heart health in your community. Next deadline: 20 September 2021
NHS 24 Strategic Plan
Here’s an opportunity to get involved in the development of NHS 24’s new Strategic Plan to be published in 2022.
NHS 24 values the views of everyone who use our services, and the views of professionals who represent the interests of service users, including third sector organisations staff.
We are extremely keen that you are able to share what you know about young people’s experience of accessing NHS 24’s services. To do this, we would like to invite you to join a small online focus group. This will be on Microsoft Teams in August or early September, it will include 4 to 8 participants, and last about 1 hour. We will be seeking focus group participants’ views on what NHS 24 does well, what we could do better and what you think an excellent service would look like.
If you are interested in taking part, please email me EngagementTeam@nhs24.scot.nhs.uk which (if any) of the dates below would work for you:
Friday 27 August AM or PM
Tuesday 31 August AM or PM
Monday 6 September AM or PM
Thursday 9 September AM or PM
Monday 20 September AM or PM
Tuesday 28 September AM or PM
We will hold the focus group(s) on the date(s) that suit most of the people who are interested in taking part. We can also arrange one-to-one interviews for this.
People can also share their views by completing our online survey in the Consultations section on NHS 24’s website: Online Survey
