The West of Scotland Pioneering Framework for Making Changes Together
This framework is a strategic, ambitious and pioneering approach to involve all to work together and #tobechallenged to tackle the root causes of poverty.
The Framework sets out an overarching approach which sets out four key priorities: Engage – Connect – Develop – Integrate. Working together with every Person, every Community, in the West of Scotland to drive involvement and deliver outcomes.
Celebrating Renfrewshire – by young people, for young people 2021/2022 Fund
Celebrating Renfrewshire is a fund for young people, by young people. It is available for young people aged 12-25, and groups who work with young people this age, from across Renfrewshire who have an idea to make their community better for them. Schools are also eligible to apply via their parent councils, as long as the project benefits the wider community and not just the school.
The fund will be open for applications for 3 weeks between 18th August 2021 and 8th September 2021 (midnight).
Download the PDF for more details.
Applicants can submit either a hard copy or an online version of the application form – whatever suits them better – and this year, young people and groups will also have the opportunity to add a 90 seconds video to the voting site explaining what their project idea is about.
For full details and to submit an application, visit www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/CelebratingRenfrewshire.

As part of the Team Up to Clean Up campaign, Spotless September will return this year and will encourage people from across Renfrewshire to take part in a litter pick, or litter picks, across the month of September.
With the ongoing pandemic, we’re not yet in a position to create large-scale events for local people to join during Spotless September, but we are encouraging lone litter pickers and small groups to take part – provided they feel safe and continue to take the necessary precautions.
We will provide all volunteers with sanitised equipment, advice on how to take part safely and we’ll also arrange to collect their bags of litter from an agreed location once they’ve finished – and I want to thank our StreetScene team for their dedication in doing this all-year-round.
The event begins on Wednesday 1 September until Thursday 30 September and we will be encouraging as many people as possible to take part, and our team will be counting the number of volunteers, litter picks and bags collected.
