This month's DigiShift from SCVO will be on Friday 26 November at 10am.
We'll be talking to Giles Turnbull, who has just published the Agile Comms Handbook:
Agile comms is a set of techniques to help teams communicate clearly and creatively about work in progress. It helps you communicate faster and more flexibly, adjusting what you say to changing circumstances. It helps you use a human tone of voice, and a little creative flair, to get your point across to busy people.
Giles Turnbull helps organisations communicate more like humans do. He runs a tiny company called Use the human voice. A former member of the Government Digital Service's influential creative team, Giles has also worked for a number of UK government departments.

The Investing in Communities Fund
Ahead of the anticipated reopening in Spring 2021, The Scottish Government are running two information sessions about The Investing in Communities Fund.
The Fund aims to support community anchor organisations based in the places they serve by delivering activity across the following four areas for action in our most disadvantaged and fragile communities across Scotland:
- tackling poverty and inequality;
- sustaining place-based approaches;
- community-led regeneration;
- ensuring a just transition to net zero.
The team will be holding a number of webinar sessions for interested stakeholders and prospective applicants to provide an overview of the fund’s aims, eligibility criteria and the application process prior to its anticipated opening for applications next calendar year.
The webinars will also include time for Q&A. The approach is also intended to provide time for interested organisations to develop quality collaborative place based proposals in conjunction with local partner organisations.
The webinars will last one hour and are planned for
1030-1130 on Tuesday 30 November 2021,
and 1400-1500 on Wednesday 8 December 2021.

The Poverty Alliance have launched our new e-action. It calls on Kate Forbes (Cabinet Secretary for Finance and the Economy) to use the budget to double the Scottish Child Payment now, rather than by 2026.
It takes less than 30 seconds, and we would really appreciate it if - firstly - you could all take the e-action, and secondly if you could circulate it among any networks/friends/family and encourage them to do the same.
You can find it here: https://povertyalliance.eaction.org.uk/doubleSCPnow-budget.
The Daily Record have also covered the story this morning: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/snp-government-under-pressure-double-25408855, and they've also used their editorial to support our call: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/doubling-scottish-child-payment-no-25411309.
