Funder of the Week

Over the last 24 weeks we have highlighted a specific funder. This week we are highlighting an organisation called BREVIO. Their aim is to “Empower the charitable sector to achieve more!” They automate the initial steps in grant applications, to free up hundreds of millions of pounds every year in administration. It’s a matching platform that links funders and charities based on the impact they both want to achieve. The Stroke Association is launching its “Save Research. Rebuild Lives” campaign in May. The focus of the campaign is around the importance of research.
The charity will be announcing its funding of the world’s first study to determine the long-term impact of having Covid-19 for stroke survivors.  This research is absolutely critical in understanding and treating stroke after Covid-19, to help reduce the devastating effects and ultimately improve lives.
The pandemic is threatening research that drives life-changing breakthroughs in stroke care. As a result of the pandemic, the Stroke Association has had to halve its budget for stroke research.
Now more than ever, the Stroke Association needs the public’s support. For more information visit: stroke.org.uk/SaveResearch
