I'd like to invite you to to the next in the series of community conversations:
Engage in Conversation - Employment
An event for Black Asian and Minority Ethnic people living in Renfrewshire
Organised by Engage Renfrewshire's New Buddies Network Officer (Chigozie Joe Adigwe) this session is for people from an ethnic minority background who live and/or work in Renfrewshire.
I want to hear about your experiences of employment, awareness of local opportunities and access to training. Austerity closely followed by the Covid19 pandemic has resulted in a real jobs crisis and particularly for young BAME people. This is am opportunity for you to share your experiences with us to shape local change. The session is informal and confidential.
Engage Renfrewshire is a key partner along with Renfrewshire Council and the Chamber of Commerce in contributing to the regeneration of the employment landscape. This is an opportunity for your views about solutions to influence delivery of activities that help to address some of your needs and support your assets.
I will use a live anonymous polling service called Mentimeter to ask a couple of questions during the session. To take part in the poll it's advised to have two devices - one to join the meeting and the other to take part in the poll.
Please note that the poll is optional and not a requirement of attendance.
Please note this event is free but booking through Eventbrite in good time is advisable to avoid disappointment. Zoom links will be sent on Wednesday 9th December.
I hope you'll be able to join us and share with interested parties who are keen to share in the journey of change.
Chigozie (Gozie)
