Our final Volunteers' Week Showcase: Team Up to Clean Up

Renfrewshire is determined to develop strong resilient communities with the capacity to shape and deliver community aspirations. Team Up to Clean Up builds on people’s existing skills and strengths and encourages the development of new skills and the confidence to make change through participation and engagement.

Communities are encouraged to get involved in making improvements in their local neighbourhoods, mainly litterpicking, although individuals and groups are supported with tools, education, funding and logistical support to create more appealing neighbourhoods. 

4,500 local volunteers regularly deliver or actively support the ongoing work ensuring volunteers are consistently celebrated, engaged, focused and driven to continue to build stronger, resilient and appealing communities.

Volunteers advise participations supports their mental health, physical wellbeing, combats isolation and improves their community.
