Update on Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund

20/01/2022 (Staff Post - Alice McBride )

Engage Renfrewshire would like to thank all who shared messaging regarding the Community Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund. Thanks to the hard work of our team and supporters we received applications totalling nearly £1.3 million.

This obviously far exceeds our allocated £500,000 from Scottish Government and is a testament to the sector in Renfrewshire and how it always rises to the challenge. The assessment process is already underway and applicants can expect to hear within the next few weeks. We hope to announce our first awards by the end of the month.

Our new fund officer, Alice McBride, would particularly like to thank all applicants for their efforts in submitting application over the festive period, traditionally a busy time of year for the sector.

“The breadth of the activity proposed in the applications demonstrates that our sector understands there is no one answer to supporting mental health and wellbeing. It has been an inspiring start to the year to read through the proposals and we are looking forward to supporting projects of all scales and making a difference to adult mental wellbeing in Renfrewshire”
