As part of Children's Mental Health Week we've brought together some of the services available in Renfrewshire. This is by no means an exhaustive list and we'll be updating this page as services change and emerge. So feel free to bookmark this blog!
As this year's theme for Children's Mental Health Week is Express Yourself we've included several creative organisations that encourage self-expression.
A huge range of services available, their main goal is to ensure that every child in Scotland has the chance to flourish.
Protecting and supporting children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support.
In Renfrewshire Barnardo's host a range of services and work with Renfrewshire council and other organisations as part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategic Partnership.
Children 1st work to prevent abuse and neglect, to protect children and keep them safe from harm.
Their vision is to see ‘young people transformed through creativity, community, confidence and finding their voice’.
CRISIS provides counselling and support to people who need it when they need it.
Support and advice for families affected by imprisonment.
Children and young people (aged 5 – 26) are supported by a full range of integrated services to ensure the best outcomes.
Encouraging and promoting youth creativity in Renfrewshire.
A local organisation with a wrap-round person led approach to community work. They support individuals and families. They also have the Wee Stars programme to support young families.
YMCA Paisley has become a local leader in digital development for young people. They promote creativity and emotional wellbeing and encourage digital learning and self-improvement.
Provide early intervention projects and service provision for community issues. As in Paisley they support emotional wellbeing through tailored groups and workshops that answer young people's needs.
